Why Do So Many INFJs Ignore Their Intuition, When It’s Truly One Important Superpower

  • Reading time:7 mins read

If I had to tell people one thing about myself that I absolutely despise, it’s this – I hate that I ignore the signs and messages that my Introverted Intuition (Ni) sends me on a daily basis. Even when it has lined the messages with neon red LED lights and flashed them in front of my face, I still manage to disbelieve its importance, or veracity.

It’s not just me, though. Lots of INFJs message or email me on a weekly basis with stories of how they ignored their intuition to their own detriment, and that still didn’t teach them to stop doing that foolishness. It irks us to no end. We are like Spiderman who knows he has the capacity to save the world, but spends all of his city chasing after Lois Lane instead. I mean, lust aside, how many people in the world have such a powerful intuition at their fingertips? Not many.

Why can’t we just appreciate the messages coming to us from our intuition? Can’t we just believe what it says? Why do we doubt its accuracy, time and time again? Why do we falter and disbelieve and end up needing more proof?

4 Powerful Ways You Can Build Your Introverted Intuition, INFJs – It’s Your Superpower, Use It Well

  • Reading time:9 mins read

One of the reasons I believe INFJs have a hard time fully coming into themselves, and becoming the best version of themselves, is because they are unable to fully trust and connect with one of their major superpowers, their Introverted Intuition (Ni). The lesson here – Build Your Intuition!

It isn’t easy, I agree. I am an INFJ and it took me, I would say, around 30 years to really truly appreciate and believe in the information that my intuition was sending my way. It’s interesting, because our Ni collects all of this seemingly random information from the world around us, assimilates it into bits and bytes of properly datafied information, and then is able to pull out astute conclusions from it, that will baffle and stupefy any bystander by its accuracy and insight.

How does it do that? For the longest time, I was mystified by its powers. I would know things, without knowing how I knew them. I would make accurate judgements or have explicit insights about individuals or situations around me, and I would have no idea how I came to these conclusions.

Eventually, I realized that my Ni works in mysterious ways, and I learned to just let it do its own thing. It would send me all of these precise observations, and instead of being afraid of where this information came from and how scarily accurate it was, I now just accept it.

This is brilliant information that I have a grasp upon due to my powerful intuition. I’m lucky. I should just accept it. This is where I am right now with my Ni.

Our Heart Always ‘Knows’ Faster Than Our Heads

  • Reading time:7 mins read

I was speaking to a friend of mine recently and she asked me a question that acted like a sort of eureka moment for me. She asked me how much longer I was going to keep thinking that I had some kind of time debt to pay off. And how much longer would it take for me to pay off that debt.

You see, even though, I am living my ideal life right now, I feel like I wasted my life basically from the time I was 21 to around the age of 29. It was all about partying, wasting time and energy on nonsense, clubbing and drinking, buying too much shit, and running after the next shiny object. Even speaking about it makes me really angry and disappointed in myself.

Of course, if you believe that everything is happening for a reason, then that phase in my life had to happen for this phase in my life to begin. But, and this is a big but in my head, I couldn’t accept that theory for the longest time. The only thought that went round and round in my head was that I wasted my best years, on nothingness. I wasted my time, and energy on nonsense.

I felt like a failure, and if I had to stop feeling like a failure, I had to pay back those years, by working twice or thrice or ten times as hard right now.

[Ep 90] Trust Your Intuition Without Disbelief And Question

  • Reading time:3 mins read

In this episode, I’ll be talking to you about our intuition and why we should always trust it, no matter what. Your intuition is strong and powerful, and it can see more than what us mere humans can see. We are literally blind compared to our intuition's sight and vision. If your intuition is telling you to go down a certain path, then it’s most likely for a reason that you can’t see yet. But you will eventually be able to see the reason if you keep on trusting your intuition. Gut feelings. They cannot be explained. They can only be lived. The only thing we can do with them is to trust them and experience them. Whenever You Doubt Yourself, Take A Step Back And Hold Your Heart

  • Reading time:6 mins read

I have a lot of doubt in me, and that's normal. That's what I have realized after speaking to dozens of creative people. Everyone has doubt. It's similar to how everyone has a soul. If you are human and have a heart, you are going to have an abundance of doubt sitting around either buried deep in your closet, or out in the open, hanging around everything you do. And everyone you meet. This post isn't about beating doubt. That isn't something we can actually do. It might not even be something that we need to do. It can stay there in the background like a hum. Like some white noise that hasn't really quite realized what it's true purpose is. So it stays there. But I have started this new ritual - newish to me, where every time I feel doubt, I have started placing my hand on my heart. My beautiful, beating, tender, emotional heart. My Heart Knows Even If…

How Do You Know If You Are Doing The Right Thing?

  • Reading time:12 mins read

I have been thinking about this question a lot recently because there has been a barrage of people doing wrong things on this planet. Like being racist, or sexist, or homophobic, and more. But then people argue with these exact same individuals about the fact that they are being cruel or wrong in what they are doing, these people don’t understand. They don’t get why they are wrong in how they treating these other human beings.

In their minds, it is completely and absolutely justified.

Now this has happened many times in history and will probably keep on happening many times again, especially if as humans we don’t learn from our past or our mistakes.

The reason concentration camps and their cruelty happened was because the people running the camps believed that they were in the right. They were doing something right to fix the world that according to them would be broken until a certain type of people were completely annihilated.

This kind of thing still exists, and is happening all over the world and has happened all over history. (more…)

Don’t Take Advice From People Who Barely Know Who They Are

  • Reading time:11 mins read

Being online and posting so much stuff on the Internet all the time, I get a lot of feedback, good and bad. Feedback is fine with me, because the meaning inherent in giving feedback is, “I’m giving you this feedback, because I think you can do something with it. But if you choose to throw it away, then I’m fine with that.”

Some feedback I incorporate into my life and some I don’t. No one ever comes after me with a battleaxe. But advice – now that’s a different beast altogether.

People who give advice are giving it because they know something or they think they know something better than you. They are imbibing all of these pearls of advice (wisdom) over you so that you can someday aspire to be as good as them. But, seriously, would you ever be able to get close to them? Never!

The meaning inhere in advice is that “I’m giving you this advice, because I am better than you somehow, and you better take this advice. Otherwise, you are going to burn in the fires of hell forever and ever.” (more…)

The More I Meditate, The More My Intuition Builds Up

  • Reading time:5 mins read

One of the main reasons I am such an advocate of meditation is because of the effect it has on intuition. For those of us, who are looking to build their intuition, or connect better with our gut, meditation is one of the most powerful tools I have found. In this blog post, I’ll answer your questions about meditation and its relation to intuition.

Why does Intuition Matter?

So many of us spend way too much of our time listening to the outside voices in our life, like our parents, society, and the world. Instead of listening to our inner self, our true self, and our authentic self, we listen to everyone else. If all of us spent less time listening to the outside world, and actually listening to what we truly want, we would be living a more fulfilling life.

For the longest time, I heard my intuition tell me what I should be doing with my life. But my parents told me to take another path. I listened to them at first, because it felt like the ‘right’ thing to do. I wanted to be a good daughter.

But constantly, that voice inside my heart, my intuition kept at me, telling me I was on the wrong path. My intuition was adamant that I should change my path. The thing about our intuition is that if at first we don’t listen to it, the voice gets stronger and stronger, but eventually, if we don’t listen to it, it stops talking to us altogether. Luckily enough, my intuition kept bugging me, and telling me to try a different path.

For ten whole years, it told me I was on the wrong path. Everything I did just didn’t feel right, because it wasn’t the path for me. When we are living on the right path, everything falls into place seamlessly. When we are living the wrong path, everything seems stilted, suffocating, and slow-moving. (more…)
