[Ep 76] No Matter What, Come Back To Your Breath

  • Reading time:3 mins read

Most of us think that just because we do something all the time, that we must be good at it. That’s not always the case. We breathe naturally throughout the day without even thinking about it but most of us never focus on the WAY we breathe. When life throws obstacles in our way, we tend to panic or become scared or worried. When we feel these emotions are breathing tends to become more rapid and shallow. That isn't a great way to deal with worries or panic. If we could become more conscious of our breath, and bring ourselves back into our bodies, that would be the best way to deal with the situation. Why Are People So Afraid Of Intense People Like Me?

  • Reading time:5 mins read

“Dial it down.” “Calm down.” “Don’t be so much.” “Stop being so high.” “You are too intense.” “Why are you always too much?”

I have heard these statements all of my life. It wasn’t mildly annoying to hear these words thrown at me on a daily or weekly basis. It was extremely degrading, and humiliating. I hated myself for being too much. I wanted to feel less, I wanted to be less, and I wanted to do less.

Cool as a cucumber. Cool as so many of those ice princesses roaming around, who felt nothing, or at least they looked like they felt nothing. I wanted to be like them. Desperately.

Over time, I realized it was a hopeless endeavour. I wasn’t ever going to be like them.

If someone broke my heart, I wasn’t going to be calmly posting about it on Instagram or prowling the clubs dressed up to the nines looking for my next victim. I was going to be raging against the machine, screaming, crying, wailing about the unfairness of it all. And more. (more…)

Live a Fulfilling Life

Live a Fulfilling Life – What Causes Success

Do you know fear – it’s our archenemy? Live a fulfilling life now without fear holding you back.

When I was younger, I used to wonder why some people had a lot of success in their life – people look up to them, people admire them, people want to be them…

Whereas, there were other people who lived lives of quiet desperation – no one even cared if these people lived or died (harsh, I know).

I read hundreds of books on self-help, personal growth, and development, in order to solve this mystery.

Over time, I realized that fear was the one thing that held people back from being an astounding success (and consistency, but we have spoken about that previously).

Successful people are full of fear, doubt, anxiety, frustration, anger, jealousy.. just like the unsuccessful people.

We are all the same on the inside.

It’s Okay To Quit Your Job – Don’t Be Afraid [EP3]

  • Reading time:4 mins read

In this episode, I’ll be talking about my own journey (a somewhat “rocky” journey) of quitting the 9-5 and starting my own online business based on my passions—meditation, spirituality, and digital nomading. Quit your job? What?

We all want to quit the cubicle, travel the world, and work on a business that is based on our true passions (at least I think so based on the people I meet). We know we need to get out of that shit, but most of us don’t do it.

Why?

Quit your job

The answer is easy: we are afraid.

But there are reasons – really great reasons in our heads that say we cannot quit our 9-5 to pursue our passions.

I had a long list of my own reasons – fear of failure, of the unknown, of disappointing my parents, of succeeding, of taking on too much too fast, of poverty, of bankruptcy, of being on my own, of jumping into the abyss, and much more.

I still quit my job. And you can quit your job, too!

You know why?

Because the reasons didn’t matter anymore. I had to get out and do my own thing. It was time.

I knew if I delayed any further I would be delaying forever! I didn’t want regret to take over my psyche.
