[Ep 45] Slow Down Especially When You Feel Like Rushing

  • Reading time:3 mins read

In this episode, I’ll be chatting about how slowing down will get you ahead, even better than rushing all the time.

We all compare ourselves to others at some point. As a result, we feel like we are not doing enough.

We get carried away doing activities for the sake of it, rather than focusing on what matters and what is truly important to us.

We end up trapped in a cycle of having to rush even more, amplifying and bringing more stress into our life.

It has been showing scientifically that humans are unable to multi-task. Our brain only holds one thought at a time. That is how it functions. When we multi-task, our brains are moving from task to task really fast, so that we think we are multi-tasking. It has been shown that multi-tasking causes us to be less productive than when we concentrate on one task at a time. (more…)

[Ep 44] Un-Smudge That Mask To Discover Your Authentic Self

  • Reading time:3 mins read

In this episode, I’ll be chatting about why reconnection with our authentic self is important.

Being yourself seems like a simple statement to follow: wake up and do what you want to do, without fear of judgement.

But, in reality, we often tend to restrain or suppress our authentic self in order to fit in, without even realizing it.

“Ourself” varies according to the situation: in front of our parents, friends, clients etc. These invented selves are normal, yet they make it tricky to be aware and reconnect with who we truly are.

Today, I know within myself that I am a writer, but it hasn’t always been this way.

I want to share with you some insights into my discovery, or more specifically, my rediscovery. (more…)

[Ep 43] Digital Nomading Stretches My Comfort Zone Limits

  • Reading time:3 mins read

In this episode, I’ll be chatting about how digital nomading has completely changed the way I do things.

I used to be afraid of a large variety of things, which led me to have a tiny comfort zone with very little space for risks and challenges.

However, leaving the 9-5 routine for a more suited location independent lifestyle, has led me to expand my comfort zone to a point where its limits have become blurry.

“There are very few things it doesn’t encompass”. Comfort zones become really apparent when we live lives of quiet and solitude, not trying anything new, and getting stuck in a box of our own making. That box becomes smaller and smaller as we grow older, so that we become more and more suffocated. Eventually, that box chokes us out and kills our soul.

Are you in a similar situation at all? Stop doing this to yourself. Try something new that you’ve never tried before, something that would completely stretch you and make you a new and bright person from the inside out.

[Ep 42] A Single Risk Begets More Risks In A Cascade

  • Reading time:3 mins read

In this episode, I’ll be chatting about creative risks and why it’s important to go outside our comfort zone.

We all have our personal boundaries, surrounding our routines and what is familiar to us.

Why do we get so comfortable with the common? Why are we so afraid of the new and interesting? Making the move to digital nomading has allowed me to step outside of my comfort zone. By quitting my job to follow my dreams, I have challenged myself to things I wouldn’t normally do.

“In that mindset, I become this person who looks at everything and thinks, yeah, I can do that!”

In my head, if I can move to Chiang Mai to start my own online business, then I can do anything. I’m the person that I’ve been aspiring to be all of my life – that courageous, bold, beautiful, bright and shiny human that is going to take over the world. (more…)

[Ep 41] My Move To Digital Nomading And Chiang Mai

  • Reading time:3 mins read

In this episode, I’ll be chatting about my lifestyle and why I moved to Chiang Mai, Thailand.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I was living in Toronto, Canada, for many years. Even though I loved this city, especially during summer time, I was feeling somehow out of place.

I was building my own business and wanting to expand, giving it a chance to grow properly and prosperously.

Moving to Chiang Mai has been the best decision I could make, from a professional point of view, as well as personal.

The DN (Digital Nomad) community here is fantastic. It is very easy to meet and connect with like-minded people.

The food is delicious and cheap, Thai people are as helpful as they are kind, and the city itself provides a great infrastructure for location independent individuals and an idealistic lifestyle. (more…)

[Ep 38] 7 Days Of Learning – The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy

  • Reading time:3 mins read

In this episode of the 7 Days Of Learning, I’ll be chatting about a useful, easy to follow book, in the lifestyle design genre.

I came across this read at a time in my life where I was not following the rules of success, and as a result, had lost precious relationships, and seen my career and travelling plans fail miserably.

A lot of us struggle to find a path to follow, jumping from one project to the next, giving up when results aren’t shown in the blink of an eye.

We think we won’t be successful, when other people are more successful than us and seem better at it than we are. Imposter Syndrome is the term for it.

How do they do it? What is their secret? (more…)

Welcome to Day 4 of my 7 Days Of Learning. In this episode, I will talk about The War of Art, which has been a life-changing book for me.

Despite being a short read, it has lots of brilliant and usable information in it.

Originally written to help writers and other creatives to overcome their artistic blocks, this book can help every single one of us!

As Steven Pressfield points out: “Most of us have two lives. The life we live, and the unlived life within us. Between the two stands Resistance”. (more…)
