[Ep 63] Ordinary Moments Vs. Extraordinary Moments

  • Reading time:3 mins read

In this episode, I’ll be chatting about the challenges of staying in the moment.

When we realize that every moment in our life is extraordinary in its own way, and we can learn from each moment in its own special way, that is when we will truly start living in the present moment and changing our lives.

I notice whenever I go to any cafe, or restaurant, that most patrons, including myself, are busy consuming content on our phones, rather than spending time with the people that we went there with. Or we are busy spending time in our busy minds, rather than observing the magic that the universe plays out for us every day.

Somewhere else is always better and more interesting than the present moment.

Instead of spending all of this precious time with my family or friends, I’m always far, far away.

[Ep 62] Why Do Digital Nomads Love Chiang Mai?

  • Reading time:3 mins read

In this episode, I’ll be chatting why I think Chiang Mai attracts digital nomads to come over in droves.

I have been chatting with a lot of people about why they like Chiang Mai. Thus, the podcast, so I could put into words why I love Chiang Mai so much.

[bctt tweet=”I came into Chiang Mai thinking I will be able to get a lot of work done.” username=”BoomShikha”]

In reality, I got only a teeny bit of work done. But, I have met oodles of awesome, awe-inspiring, intelligent, conscious, and entrepreneurial people who have become my friends for life.

They are people who are constantly changing my mindset, who are helping me become a more complete human being, who believe in me and in my potential, and are my guardian angels and advocates in general.

These are people I met only a few months ago and already I know they are going to be with me forever.

This really made me ask why Chiang Mai brings all these amazing people together to form this awesome community within the bounds of this magical country. (more…)

[Ep 61] Want A Manifesting Tip To Manifest All The Goodies?

  • Reading time:3 mins read

In this episode, I’ll be sharing with you about manifesting everything we want and more.

We are all afraid to want too much, but we also want to be able to manifest all of what we want. These conflicting thoughts are killing our manifesting powers. Listen up – the universe wants, wants, wants you to have every thing you want and more. Everything, with a capital E.

[bctt tweet=”Through the power of my thoughts, I have been able to bring so much into my life.” username=”BoomShikha”]

But this does not mean I am just sitting around and not doing any work. The work doesn’t necessary need to be external, but can be internal as well.

Every single time, I sit down to do a meditation session, I’m bringing up my vibration level, and becoming a better manifestor. Ever single time, I do yoga, or dance in my living room, I’m doing the same. It all matters. There isn’t anything that is too little. In fact, all the little things add up to make up all the big ones.

[Ep 60] As We Get Closer To Success, Self-Sabotage Is Imminent

  • Reading time:3 mins read

In this episode, I’ll be discussing about how self-sabotage can turn our imminent into almost a failure, or at least a few steps back.

I have noticed a trend in my life. Whenever I’m close to finishing something really important or close to success in a particular area of my life, it is quite inevitable that I will do something to sabotage my own success.

It is the fear of success that invades my soul at these moments. I think to myself mostly subconsciously, if I am a success, I’m going to become this person that I don’t like, or I’m going to change a lot, or I’m going to lose all of my friends, or a hundred excuses pop up into my head like fireworks.

[bctt tweet=”It’s all bullshit. It’s not real.” username=”BoomShikha”]

We are the same no matter what happens to us. Success will not change us. But in my mind, I have associated success with despised change, and that’s why I sabotage myself unintentionally when I get close to success.

[Ep 59] Workaholism Isn’t A Badge Of Honour

  • Reading time:3 mins read

In this episode, I’ll be chatting about workaholism and how it isn’t something to aspire to.

Most of us use our tendency to overwork as a positive quality. We wear it like a badge of honour. Day in day out, we display this sigil for people to see. We tell them how we spend 18 hours per day working hard and missing our dinners and family gatherings.

Workaholism, however, is not something to be proud of. To me, it is like an addiction that must be moderated.

No one should be working that hard, especially those who gave up their 9 to 5-day jobs just so they could create a life of freedom. (more…)

[Ep 58] Are You Making Things More Complicated Than They Are?

  • Reading time:3 mins read

In this episode, I’ll be discussing about complicating simple things.

Humans have this natural tendency to make things harder than they actually are. We overcomplicate things by over thinking them, examining each part and all of the possibilities that could go horribly wrong.

[bctt tweet=”The key here is realizing that everything is simple and is meant to remain that way.” username=”BoomShikha”]

It is, then, our duty to keep it in that simple state.

When I first began my podcasts, I did not think about all the equipment and logistics that I could use for my podcast recording.

All I knew back then was that I wanted to record my voice discussing topics that are important to me and that I would like to share with the world. (more…)

[Ep 57] The Big Secret Is Everyone Is Scared

  • Reading time:3 mins read

In this episode, I’ll be discussing fears.

Someone said to me the other day that it seemed like I was fearless. I laughed to myself when I heard that. I am filled with fear about everything – my business, my love life, my body and more.

Everything!

[bctt tweet=”I’m actually 90% fear and 10% water.” username=”BoomShikha”]

But my strategy lies in not letting that fear hold me back from achieving my goals, come hell or high water. I mean that and I stand with that.

In the past years, each time I find myself afraid of anything, I take that as something that I need to accomplish. I take it as an essential asset for the evolution of my soul. So I walk on, past the heavy beatings of my heart, past my dread and self-doubts, past my hesitations, and into the next step of my life. (more…)

[Ep 56] Don’t Forget to Celebrate Every Small Win

  • Reading time:3 mins read

In this episode, I’ll be sharing thoughts on celebrating small wins. As an entrepreneur, too often we forget to celebrate the small wins as we are in a hurry to get somewhere big. In that desire to get somewhere in the shortest amount of time possible, we forget to appreciate the moments here, right now. In order to prevent that, let’s start celebrating even a small win – a new email subscriber, a pound lost, and on and on because if we think deeply about life, we will see that we have so much to be grateful for. The next time you have a small win, whatever it might be, make a promise to yourself that you are going to celebrate it in the best way possible. Whatever that means to you. Perhaps a manicure or pedicure or both, or a massage, or a dance, or a dinner. Podcast Content In this podcast episode, I will be chatting about the following things:…

[Ep 55] Are You Giving Only 70%?

  • Reading time:3 mins read

In this episode, I’ll be chatting with you about why you are only giving 70% of yourself to a certain goal.

Most of us are living way below our potential. Some of us are living close to our potential, but for some reason, we are afraid to fully touch our potential.

We dip our bodies in, but we leave out our shoulders and head due to some odd fear.

I’ve been thinking about my 2016 and how I have spent my days and I’ve been doing a lot of contemplation and introspection about my 2017 and how I want to spend my days. (more…)
